NHTSA recall 20V188000 · Mar 30, 2020 · 216,678 vehicles
Problem: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2012-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the air bag inflator may not function properly or may rupture during deployment.
Risk: An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front driver air bag inflators, free of charge. The recall began May 7, 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

Oct 23, 2026Engine I was driving my kids to school in my 2014 Nissan Armada when I suddenly started feeling lightheaded and dizzy out of nowhere. I realized something was terribly wrong and immediately rolled all the windows down. Thank God I did. âWhen I got home, I opened the hood and looked underneath the truck to see if exhaust was leaking. I sprayed soapy water on the visible seams of the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter, turned the truck back on, and saw air bubbles immediately forming right around the welded areas. I recorded the whole thing on video as proof. âThe Big Issue: HOW are these exhaust fumes able to get inside the cabin with me and my kids?! I didnât get a single warning light…

The contact stated that on several occasions while driving and while parked the rear hatch opened unintentionally. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with corrosion of the rear door handle motor. The contact was informed that the door handle motor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Jul 28, 2020 · 85,000 milesAir bags I HAVE BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE TO GLENDALE NISSAN TWICE FOR REPAIR OF AIR BAG RECALL. WARNING LIGHT CAME BACK ON FOLLOWING DAY. UPON SECOND OCCASION SERVICE TECH SAID THAT THEY HAD CHANGED AIR BAG COMPONENT, HOWEVER THERE WAS A DELETED CODE STORED PREVIOUSLY THAT SOMEHOW RE-ACTIVATED. HE SAID THEY HAD CLEARED IT AND THAT I SHOULD MONITOR IT. LIGHT CONTINUES TO BE ON. I'M CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY OF DRIVING IT ANY LONGER. I'M AT A LOSS AT WHAT MY OPTIONS ARE.
