What we collect

Car Record Book has no user accounts, sets no cookies and runs no advertising. We do not ask for your VIN or any other personal details.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. It sets no cookies, does not use local storage and does not track visitors across sites. This is based on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect the site against abuse, as our processor. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Complaint narratives

Owner complaints shown on this site are public records published by NHTSA, which removes personal details before release. We do not publish the complainant's location, VIN, dealer details or name. If you believe a narrative contains personal information, email us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You may ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data about you, object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority — in Estonia, the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon (aki.ee).
