NHTSA recall 15V032000 · Jan 26, 2015 · 468,815 vehicles
Problem: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured March 7, 2007, to November 26, 2013, and 2014 Nissan Rogue Select vehicles manufactured September 23, 2013, to July 2, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience an electrical short in the harness connector due to a mixture of snow/water and salt seeping through the carpet on the driver side floor near the harness connector.
Risk: An electrical short can cause a vehicle fire.
Fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the kick panel wiring harness connector and will if necessary install a new harness connector and waterproof seal, free of charge. The recall began on February 26, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Recall repairs are free at any authorised dealer. A recall listed here may already have been fixed on a particular car: enter its 17-character VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see open recalls.

Aug 15, 2026Air bags My daughter was in the driverâs seat when her boyfriend got out of the front passenger seat & slammed the front passenger door setting off all side curtain airbags on the passenger side of the car. This happened on August 15, 2026. The vehicle has since been deemed totaled, by insurance & a 3rd (working with the insurance company) has taken possession of the vehicle.

Jun 13, 2026Power train The transmission failed while I was driving on the freeway and I couldnât go more than 30 mph while traffic was going 75-80 mph. Just to reach a spot to safely stop myself and my passenger were fearing for our lives of getting struck by another vehicle. Upon researching it we found that this is typical of this make, model and year vehicle with no resolve from manufacturer. We find this completely unacceptable to have a known defect like this with safety at hand and no where to turn for help to remedy these vehicles.

Feb 27, 2026 · fireElectrical system I am writing to formally notify NHTSA of a serious safety incident involving my 2013 Nissan Rogue. My vehicle experienced an electrical fire while parked in my driveway following heavy snowstorms and road salt exposure. The vehicle was stationary at the time of the incident. My insurance company declared the vehicle a total loss. There were no warning lights or other symptoms prior to this incident. Researching this failure, I discovered NHTSA Safety Recall No. 15V032000, which states that moisture and road salt may reach the driver-side wiring harness connector, causing corrosion and potential electrical short circuits that can result in a vehicle fire. My incident aligns exactly with the…
