Vehicle speed controlCrash
I was attempting to turn around on my street and was hit on the driver's side by an oncoming car. Immediately thereafter, I tried to pull into a nearby driveway, but the car seemed to suddenly accelerate tremendously and plowed into the back of a parked car in that driveway. I was trying to brake but had no time as the car accelerated so suddenly. It damaged my grill and the bumper of the car that was hit. It appears that other owners of the Chrysler 200C have experienced similar issues with it accelerating when the driver is trying to brake.

My 2015 Chrysler 200 displayed the warning âService Trans Stop Safely Shut Off Engine to Engage Park.â The vehicle has approximately 79,136 miles. I am concerned this is a safety-related transmission/park engagement defect because the warning indicates the vehicle may not properly engage Park. I am requesting that NHTSA document and investigate this issue and determine whether my vehicle is affected by an existing transmission-related recall or whether the affected vehicle population should be reviewed.
