I was driving home from 7-Eleven and was approaching a sharp left turn. All of a sudden my steering wheel locked; it was extremely difficult to move then I went straight into a ditch and broke my front wheel axle and damaged my back right panel. All because my steering wheel locked on me.

The contact owns a 2016 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that whenever the front passenger's seat was occupied, the "Service Airbag" warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred when the occupants placed their feet near the front passenger footwell area, where the airbag module and wiring harness were located. The contact routinely disconnected and reconnected the airbag wiring harness to reset and clear the warning light from the instrument panel; however, the failure recurred when the front passenger seat was occupied. I purchased this vehicle believing it was safe to drive. After the sale, I discovered that the driver's seatbelt was completely broken and not properly secured. This serious safety defect was never disclosed to me before I purchased the vehicle. Had I known about this issue, I would not have purchased the vehicle or would have required it to be repaired before the sale. Selling a vehicle with a defective seatbelt without disclosing the defect put my safety and the safety of my passengers at risk. I am requesting that this matter be investigated and that appropriate action be taken regarding the seller's failure to disclose this serious safety issue.

I am reporting multiple safety-related issues involving my 2016 Chrysler 200 S. On 02/06/2024, after an oil change at a dealership, the underbody skid plate bolts were not reinstalled. While driving, the skid plate fell and I lost control of the vehicle, creating a serious safety hazard. No warning indicators were present prior to this failure. The issue was identified immediately after leaving the dealership and is not properly documented in service records. In July 2022, following a battery replacement by the same dealership, the vehicle repeatedly lost power and stalled, leaving me stranded multiple times. I paid for diagnostic testing, but there is no documentation confirming proper…

While driving, my 2016 Chrysler 200 (3.6L V6) experienced a sudden and complete electrical failure. All systems shut down simultaneously, including the dashboard, engine, power steering assist, and electrical accessories. The vehicle coasted to a stop and would not restartâno crank, no dash lights, no response. After allowing the vehicle to cool for approximately 30â45 minutes, electrical power returned and the vehicle restarted normally. This failure mode is identical to the Power Distribution Center (PDC) connector defect that resulted in a recall for the 2015 Chrysler 200. My vehicle is the same platform with the same component architecture, yet no recall exists for the 2016 model…

During acceleration, thick white smoke began to come out tail pipe. Car instantly turns off in the middle of the street in rush hour traffic while I had my 4 year old daughter in the car. Police threatened to impound car if not moved immediately. Had to pay a hefty tow fee twice to get the car to the dealership. Somehow oil and coolant had mixed together in the engine. Dealer said Iâll need a completely new engine. Iâll have to pay 1600 to get a diagnosis of the âexactâ problem once they tear down the engine. At that point warranty company will come out to see IF they can help. I was quoted a possible 12,000 job. Iâve had this car for 7 months and had done all routine work since.…
