I own a 2024 Ford Mustang (VIN above) subject to safety recall 26V547 / Ford 26C40 for engine wiring-harness ground eyelets that can fracture and cause loss of motive power. As of Oct 10, 2026, Ford's VIN lookup still shows the recall incomplete with no remedy or parts available and no dealer able to schedule the repair. Ford anticipates parts around Dec 21, 2026, while NHTSA's filing points to remedy owner letters around March 2027 â months after the Aug 25, 2026 campaign. I attempted to open a Ford Customer Relationship Center case via Ford's online chat on Oct 9 (evening) and again Oct 10, 2026 at 9:21 AM ET; both times only an AI assistant responded, live agents were unavailable, and…

COMPONENT / SYSTEM FAILED: The Electronic Power Steering Assist / Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) and vehicle electrical ground system failed. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. RISK TO SAFETY & NEAR-MISS INCIDENT: While driving on the highway at 62 mph in light rain, the electronic power steering assist cut out completely without warning. The steering wheel instantly became extremely stiff and heavy, giving the immediate sensation of locked steering. Because power assist cut out without warning, the vehicle drifted toward a concrete side wall and adjacent highway lanes with heavy semi-truck traffic. I had to exert significant manual force to keep the car straight,…

My car would not start so I had it towed to the Ford Dealership where I bought the car - The car would not start even though the battery had power - it also had a burning wire smell which is consistent with the recall The dealer has not looked at the car since it was towed to them on 9/3/26

2024 Ford Mustang has shown severe defects since September of 2025. Vehicle has been in and out of shop every month since first incident of vehicle going completely dead without cause or warning. Vehicle has since produced escalating engine misfires, loss of acceleration while driving on highway, and occasional antifreeze seeping through a/c vents on startup. Dash has started to glitch upon startup as well and fuel economy has dropped 7mpg in one month. Every Ford dealership I have went to for repairs, except for Town and Country Ford, has told me, "there's no issue with your vehicle". After a year of issues that are getting worse, and trying to receive answers from my Ford case manager, I…

Bought the car in XXX noticed mold on the passenger floor board, non Ford dealer said window must of been left down made sense at time. They cleaned mold up. Drove it today in the rain noticed water on floor did my research found out it had a recall of 25C43 or NHTSA 25V546. Went to my dealer they said it was inspected in Dec and closed as complete with another dealership. Obviously itâs not fixed correctly because water is still running into the floor board and across the BCM. I did a water test of my own on XXX. I removed the passenger side kick plate ran the hose on the cowl off the car waited 6-10 minutes saw water intruding into the car, which proves repair was not completed…

My vehicle is subject to Ford safety recall 26C40 / NHTSA recall 26V547. I contacted an authorized Ford dealership to have the recall remedied. The dealership confirmed in writing that the recall is currently under Advance Notice and that Ford has not yet provided dealers with the remedy or technical repair instructions. Therefore, the dealership cannot perform the recall repair at this time. NHTSAâs recall lookup currently shows the status as âRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet availableâ and states that the remedy is anticipated to be available on December 21, 2026. I am willing to have the recall repair performed immediately when the remedy becomes available. I am filing this…

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving 75 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, shifted to park(P) and waited five minutes, and restarted the vehicle. The failure was a recurring failure. Additionally, the vehicle lost windshield washer fluid pump functionality and days later by the check engine warning light illuminated due to a weak or failing battery. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V547000 (Electrical System). The dealer was contacted but was unable to reproduce failure and stated that vehicle needed a software update. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a…

*While driving at a normal, non-excessive speed, another vehicle began pulling out of a neighborhood ahead of me. I attempted to slow down, but the vehicle did not respond to braking as expected â it continued moving despite my attempt to stop. When I tried to turn the steering wheel to avoid the situation, the wheel felt stuck/resistant and did not respond normally. As a result, I began sliding and lost control, crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic. I was able to regain enough control of the steering to pull back into my own lane. Fortunately, there was no oncoming traffic at that moment, or this could have resulted in a head-on collision. Weather conditions were dry and clear; it…
