Recall 26V49400011 vehicles

Problem: General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ, Escalade IQL, GMC Sierra EV, Chevrolet Silverado EV, and 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup vehicles. The high voltage battery may have an improperly secured internal module component.
Risk: A loose component may move and damage the high voltage battery, increasing the risk of a fire.
Fix: Dealers will replace the high voltage battery, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 24, 2026. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223, GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N262562600. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 30, 2026.

Problem: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 GMC Hummer EV and 2023 Cadillac Lyriq vehicles. Certain connections within the high-voltage battery pack may be out of position or incorrectly welded, which can cause a loss of drive power.
Risk: A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the high-voltage battery pack, free of charge. Letters explaining the safety risk were sent to owners January 5, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed June 6, 2023. Owners may contact GM's Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 and the EV Concierge number: 1-833-HUMMER-EV (1-833-486-6373). GM's number for this recall is N232404441.

Recall 22V771000797 vehicles

Problem: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 BrightDrop EV600 and 2022-2023 GMC Hummer EV Pickup electric vehicles. The high voltage battery pack enclosure may not be properly sealed, allowing water to enter the pack.
Risk: Water accumulation in the high voltage battery pack can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters were mailed April 13, 2023. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact EV Concierge at 1-833-HUMMER-EV, and BrightDrop Service Operations and Support at 1-888-987-4377. GM's number for this recall is N222380031.

Recall 22V1410009 vehicles

Problem: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 GMC Hummer EV vehicles. Taillight software can cause one or both rear taillights to become inoperative, or remain fully or partially illuminated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: A taillight that fails to illuminate or illuminates incorrectly may reduce the visibility of the vehicle, or communicate incorrect information to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace as necessary, the left and/or right rear taillight assemblies. Owner notification letters were not required but all vehicles were remedied as of March 17, 2022. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N222359830.

While driving, a strong wind blew and flipped up the black hood insert of Hummer EV truck. It can cause severe damage to the windshield and harm the driver and front passenger.

Visibility / Defogging / Defrosting issues are main safety concerns. Every winter for the last 3 years, the heater fails and blows only cold air. This is intermittent throughout the year, but recurring. With cold-weather driving conditions, it creates an unsafe driving experience when windshield and windows can't defog or defrost properly. The problem has been reported several times to the dealership and it was never fully resolved while under warranty. Each time I took the vehicle to the dealership for servicing with temporary adjustments. Same situation occurred twice. I was in the car at a red light. Car had been stopped for about a minute. Was on a slight decline, engine brake was engaged to hold car in position. Car was stationary completely. Suddenly tons of warning lights flash on the dash board 'One pedal driving unavailable', 'Service ESC', 'Service trailer brake system', 'Service active steering system', '4wd unavailable', service driver assist system , 'Speed limited to 36 mph'. My hummer has been nothing short of a nightmare. Been towed in for service and delivered to the dealer for repair 10 times now and the result is continuously the same problems. Having no date on battery replacement and constant warnings on the dash has brought to the point of it being unsafe for me and my family to utilize. It was recently in the GMC shop at Marquardt GMC for three weeks displaying over a dozen codes of issues. Due to lack of training the dealership mechanics are attempting to do repairs over the phone with GMC. Since getting it back last week all the codes are present again and new issues have developed.
