May 1, 2026Lane departure › Assist All my warning light come on every time I turn on the van. Been going on for several months. Was told the issue will get fixed if the front camera under rear view mirror get replaced. Feel like this needs to be recalled to get fixed, especially finding out Honda already knew there was a issue.
Sep 18, 2026Forward collision avoidance › Automatic emergency braking All this warning lights just come on out of no where due to the safety camera feature on the windshield that controls all the safety features of the car and this vehicles are not even 10 years old and the repair cost is too expensive for just that camera and almost every Honda odyssey is having the same issue I think there should be a recall for that specific camera in my opinion.
Oct 15, 2026Unknown or other On October 14/15, 2026 it rained. At approximately 12:25pm on October 15, 2026 my power lift gate stopped working. It wouldnât open with any of the controls. Upon further inspection we noticed the control module had water damage. We replaced the module on October 21,2026. It is still having issues. It opens with the controls but wonât close using the same controls. You have to manually close it.
Jul 27, 2026Electrical system It started back in July 2026; I had a warning pop up that some functions arenât available and to clean front windshield camera. We did. Still received the warning. Sometimes itâs there and sometimes itâs not. I can go down the highway and it will come up and then a few miles later itâll turn off and the functions work. Even driving around town it does it. I have noticed there are a lot of drivers of the 2018 models having this same issue.
Mar 13, 2025Electrical system In XXX, the power tailgate on my 2018 Honda Odyssey stopped working. I took the vehicle to authorized Honda dealer Fred Beans Honda of [XXX]. The technician documented in writing on repair order #XXX (XXX): "There is water leaking onto the power tailgate control unit. Technician found the water leak going into from the back of roof on the left side. Needs a new power tailgate control unit." Water entered through the rear body seam seals and dripped onto the power tailgate control module (P/N 74970-THR-A12). The removed module showed severe blue-green corrosion -- it does not fail on its own at 31,500 miles. Safety concern: A tailgate whose control module is destroyed by water intrusion…
May 29, 2026Electrical system I own a 2018 Honda Odyssey Touring. On May 29, 2026, I started the engine on my Odyssey and several dashboard system warnings appeared. The warning signs remained and caused several Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistance systems to become unavailable, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation, and Auto High Beams. Additionally, a Brake System warning appears on the dashboard. I have video recording of these warnings from when they first appeared in May. On September 2, 2026, the lights…
Sep 22, 2026Air bags Subject: Airbag Deployment After Recall Repair - 2018 Honda Odyssey My 2018 Honda Odyssey received the Honda airbag recall repair in XXX. After the recall remedy was completed, the driver's side by side curtain airbags deployed unexpectedly while I was driving. At the time of the incident, I struck a curb at approximately 25-30 mph. However, there was no collision involving another vehicle, object, or side-impact event, and there was no contact with the vehicle's bumper or body. The tire was not damaged. PE25018 · opened Oct 28, 2025 · closed Jun 25, 2026 · led to recall 26V227Inadvertent Deployment of Side Air Bags On October 28, 2025, the Office of Defects Investigations (ODI) opened PE25018 to investigate complaints of inadvertent deployment of the side curtain and/or side thorax air bags. These complaints concern model year (MY) 2018-2022 Honda Odyssey vehicles manufactured by American Honda Motor Co. (Honda). Honda issued recall 26V227 on April 9, 2026, to address concerns of inadvertent side air bag deployment. In the recall filing, the company stated that â[a]s of April 2, 2026, Honda has had 130 warranty claims, 25 reports of an injury, and no reports of death related to this issue from January 24, 2017 â April 2, 2026.â Honda states that the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) contains incorrect deployment parameters for the side thorax and side curtain air bags, which may cause inadvertent deployment when the vehicle encounters strong road impacts, such…
PE25008 · opened Aug 20, 2025 · openEngine failure The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 414 reports of connecting rod bearing failures in the 3.5L V6 engine used in the following vehicles: Model Years (MY) 2018-2020 Acura TLX, MY2016-2020 Acura MDX, MY2016-2020 Honda Pilot, MY2018-2020 Honda Odyssey, and MY2017-2019 Honda Ridgeline. The subject engine failures were analyzed as part of a Recall Query (RQ24013). It was determined that these engine failures are outside the scope of Honda Recall 23V-751. Further, evidence gathered in conjunction with RQ24013 does not suggest this failure is caused by the same crankshaft manufacturing defect that is addressed by Honda in Recall 23V-751. Based on analysis of data from RQ24013, NHTSA has closed that investigation. The significant number of reports of engine failure in vehicles outside the scope of RQ24013 presents a potential safety risk that warrants further…
EA25004 · opened Mar 26, 2025 · openNo Restart After Auto Start/Stop Engages On June 3, 2022, the Oï¬ce of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE22005 after the agency received VOQs and several ï¬eld reports concerning the Auto Idle Stop (AIS) feature on 2016-2019MY Honda Pilot vehicles. The complaints allege that the engine fails to restart on its own from a complete stop at a traï¬c light or road intersection with the AIS function engaged. The subject vehicles are equipped with a 3.5L engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. On January 6, 2023, Honda released service bulletins 23-008 and 23-009. These service bulletins address the failure to restart issue in the 2016-2019MY Honda Pilot vehicles, as well as the 2015-2020 Acura TLX, 2016-2020 Acura MDX, 2019-2022 Honda Passport, and 2020-2023 Honda Ridgeline vehicles. RQ24013 · opened Nov 8, 2024 · closed Aug 20, 2025Engine failure On November 8, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Recall Query RQ24013 to assess the scope of Honda recall 23V-751 after receiving complaints that alleged connecting rod bearing failures in vehicles that were not within the scope of recall 23V-751. In November 2023, Honda recalled 248,999 various Model Year (MY)2016â2020 Honda and Acura vehicles equipped with the 3.5L V6 engine. Honda recalled these vehicles due to a crankshaft manufacturing defect that caused premature connecting rod bearing wear and engine seizure. While the out-of-scope failures involved in these complaints appear to have a very similar failure mechanism as the recalled engines, a thorough analysis of all available data from Honda has not indicated that the same manufacturing defect exists in the out-of-scope engines as the engines recalled by 23V-751. Based on this analysis ODI has determined…
