The front of the car under the hood exploded while parked and turned off. - Oct 7, 2026Fuel/propulsion system
Low pressure fuel pump defective, which caused vehicle to stall while driving. Barely made it off of the highway when this happened, which left me in traffic with children in the car and my hazard lights until able to pull over safely and call a tow. Problem has been confirmed by independent service center and called dealership and they confirmed my vehicle was not apart of the recall. There were no warnings prior to the car malfunctioning. - Jan 1, 2025Fuel/propulsion system
I have been noticing sluggish acceleration since the end of 2024, specially when fuel falls below or equal to half tank, I took my vehicle to the dealership several times and specifically instructed them to inspect my acceleration issue but every time said no issue on fuel pump. They even failed to reproduce my problem even though I paid for diagnostic. I would like to earnestly request NHTSA to consider this issue seriously and take action at your earliest convenience. My 2020 Lexus NX 300 caught fire overnight while parked and unattended outside my residence. I discovered the fire the next morning. The Seattle Fire Department responded (incident #SFD-26-0112715) and their report states the fire originated in the engine compartment, with the cause of ignition listed as 'failure of equipment or heat source.' There was no collision, no theft, and no visible external damage prior to the fire. I am the original and only owner of this vehicle, with approximately 48,000 miles, and 100% of scheduled maintenance was performed at an authorized Lexus dealership (Lexus of Bellevue), with no aftermarket modifications. The fire also caused heat damage to a neighboring… - Jun 30, 2026Fuel/propulsion system

Everything down to the electrical has checked out good. The last issue is the fuel pump. My mechanic says there is not enough fuel going to the injectors . While driving, my vehicle's check engine light came on and the vehicle entered limp mode without warning. It would not exceed 25 MPH and was stuck in 2WD, displaying the message "reduced engine power â take vehicle to nearest dealer." This created a serious safety hazard, as the vehicle could not maintain safe speed in traffic. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. The Lexus dealer diagnosed trouble codes P219C00, P160500, P030027, and P0301300 â cylinder #1 air/fuel ratio imbalance, rough idling, random misfire, and cylinder #1 misfire. Through active injector testing, the technician confirmed the cylinder #1 direct (high-pressure) fuel injector has failed, and recommended… - Jul 1, 2026 · 88,000 milesFuel system, gasoline

The message âElectronic Fuel System Failureâ was displayed, and the vehicle stalled on several occasions.
