Vehicle: 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 4MATIC Recall Reference: NHTSA Campaign #26V073 / High-Voltage Battery Fire Hazard My vehicle is subject to an active safety recall concerning internal high-voltage battery failure that poses a direct risk of a vehicle fire while driving or parked. The manufacturer has instructed owners to limit battery charging to a maximum of 80% and to park the vehicle outside away from structures due to fire hazards. On October 20, 2026, Mercedes-Benz USA Customer Retention Management formally notified me in writing that the estimated remedy/parts availability date for this high-voltage battery replacement is December 2026. Being forced to operate a vehicle with an…

My vehicle battery overheated. The dealership was unable to identify the cause. I have since learned there is a battery recall on this make and model, and I believe the recall needs to be expanded to include my vehicle and the overheating was likely caused by the battery failing.

My 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB has an unresolved recall (25V487000) issued July 25, 2025 â nearly 10 months ago â with status still listed as remedy not yet available. The recall is classified as URGENT: FIRE RISK WHEN PARKED on NHTSA's website for my specific vehicle. On May 6-7, 2026 I contacted Mercedes customer service three times and received conflicting safety guidance. Agent 1 told me charging above 80% was acceptable and did not advise outdoor parking. Agent 2 (appointed by a manager) told me to restrict charging and park outside immediately, and escalated to buyback team. Agent 3 called back and said Agent 2 made a mistake and that no restrictions apply. My only available parking is…

This complaint documents three deficiencies in Mercedes-Benz's recall response for recalls 25V487 and 26V073. First, the BMS software update applied under 25V050 reduced my vehicle's range by approximately 20% and degraded charging performance without adequate disclosure to owners. Second, Mercedes-Benz delayed notification to U.S. owners after fires occurred in already-remediated vehicles in Europe in November 2025. Third, interim measures are inadequate, now confirmed by EVgo independently restricting affected vehicles from their DC fast charging network. A detailed complaint document is attached. Recall numbers 25V487 and 26V073. VIN [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM…

âMy 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 is subject to NHTSA recall 26V073 involving a high-voltage battery defect that may cause a fire. The manufacturer has instructed me to limit charging to 80% and to park the vehicle outside due to fire risk. This significantly reduces the vehicleâs usable range and creates safety concerns. Due to this 80% charging limitation, the vehicle no longer provides sufficient range for my daily commute and cannot be reliably used for its intended purpose. The manufacturer has stated that the permanent remedy (battery replacement) is not yet available, with an estimated timeline extending into December 2026. I opened a case with Mercedes-Benz on April 3, 2026 (Case…

I am reporting a serious safety hazard involving my MercedesâBenz EQB 350. Drive only 1.5 year, Jan 6, 2026, the vehicle suffered an electronic failure at LaGuardia Airport and became completely inoperable. It could not shift into Drive, Reverse, or Neutral and had to be towed to MercedesâBenz of Huntington for warranty repair. During service, the dealer performed a wheel alignment on Jan 16, 2026 without my authorization. I had previously declined alignment recommendations because my factory alignment was excellent and my tires were wearing evenly. Within four weeks of this unauthorized alignment (under 1,000 miles), all four tires developed severe innerâedge destruction. Both rear…

I am reporting a substantial safety defect regarding the high-voltage battery system in my 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350. The vehicle suffers from a 50% loss of advertised range (real-world range of ~95 miles vs. 210 miles advertised) and severe DC fast-charging failures. My VIN is subject to NHTSA Recalls 25V050000 and 25V894 for high-voltage battery fire risk. Per the manufacturer's safety instructions, I have been told not to charge the vehicle above 80%, which further degrades the vehicleâs utility. Additionally, the vehicle is subject to Recall 25V487000 for sudden loss of drive power. Mercedes-Benz has failed to provide a permanent remedy that restores the vehicle's safe operating…
