Problem: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Pilot, and 2024 HR-V, Acura Integra and Acura Integra Type S vehicles. The driver's seat cushion frame may not have been tightened properly, which can result in an unsecured seat. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."
Risk: An unsecured driver's seat may not adequately restrain the driver during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Dealers will replace the driver's seat cushion frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 6, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.

Problem: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.
Risk: Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

Problem: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Civic 4-door and Civic 5-door vehicles that received a replacement power steering rack as part of a service repair. The steering rack may have been incorrectly assembled, which can allow the tire to chafe against the lower suspension or tie rod end, possibly resulting in tire damage.
Risk: A damaged tire can fail and increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the electric power steering rack, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 16, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is YFW.

Electrical system
While traveling on the highway at approximately 55â60 mph, my vehicle suddenly began shaking and progressively losing engine power and speed. The check-engine light started flashing rapidly, followed by multiple dashboard warnings involving the braking system, power steering, vehicle stability control, collision mitigation, and other safety systems. Despite pressing the accelerator, the vehicle continued losing power and slowing down. The engine remained running, but the vehicle could not maintain highway speed.

The w components are failing the whole power steering is bad. It sticks it makes noises it squeaks and itâs also gashing my tires and wearing them unevenly.

Steering
The steering on is off even after they fixed the steering recall. The driving feel wobbly and my tires are wearing uneven. Since honda âtook careâ of the recall they keep saying its fine but the steering feels loose and there is a definite wheel wobble. This is frustrating cause ive been complaining about this since 29k and it now has 38k with no fix and now i might need tires. All because honda doesn't want to take responsibility for their bad steering rack ans components.

My 2024 was forcibly entered via breaking glass. Someone inserted an electonic device into the car, then walked away. They used anoter device in their hand, made all the lights flash- engine started and they drove off. Both keys were not in the car, or close by. Doors were locked. See detailed report attached

I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved steering issue involving my vehicle and the handling of NHTSA Recall 24V-744. My vehicle was subject to Recall 24V-744, which involved a steering-related safety issue. I brought the vehicle to the dealer for the recall repair. The dealer applied grease as part of the recall service and represented that the issue had been addressed. However, the steering problem did not go away. I subsequently returned to the dealer because I was still experiencing the same steering issue. Instead of treating the continuing problem as related to the recall repair, the dealer charged me a diagnostic fee and is refusing to cover the cost of the steering rack.…

1. Component Failed & Inspection Availability:The Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Gearbox and Rack Assembly malfunctioned and failed. The component is currently installed on the vehicle and is fully available for inspection upon request.2. Safety Risks:The steering wheel physically binds, catches, and sticks when traveling at highway speeds (between 45â70 mph). Controlling the vehicle requires increased steering effort to break through the physical stickiness, causing the vehicle to suddenly jerk. On November 29, 2023, the Oï¬ce of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened this Engineering Analysis (EA23003) to assess allegations of momentary increase in steering eï¬ort in model years (MY) 2022-2023 Honda Civic, 2023MY Honda CR-V, and 2023MY Acura Integra vehicles (subject vehicles). The complaints received by ODI alleged that the subject vehicles experienced a momentary increase in required steering eï¬ort (described as âsticky steeringâ) occurring mostly at highway speeds after driving for an extended amount of time; these complaints could not be duplicated during dealer service techniciansâ quick test drives.Â The complaints had been received over the previous two years with most occurring with low vehicle mileage.
