NHTSA recall 24V436000 · Jun 13, 2024 · 1,033,433 vehicles
Problem: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Dodge Durango, 2021-2023 Chrysler Pacifica, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, Chrysler Voyager, 2022-2023 Jeep Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Ram Promaster vehicles. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will update the radio software or the software will be OTA, "Over-The-Air," free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning July 9, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's numbers for this recall are 66B and 79B.

NHTSA recall 23V576000 · Aug 14, 2023 · 181,999 vehicles
Problem: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Compass vehicles. Risk: An IPC display that is not bright enough may not clearly show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will update the body control module (BCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 88A.

Sep 25, 2026Steering My vehicle is a 2023 jeep compass. I just had to replace my racket pinion, steering power train issue. There is no way at 70,000 miles this goes in a vehicle. No warning lights... Just loudin clanking when driving & turning...YES, inspected by jeep, dodge, ram dealership 0n 9/25/26. Had it fixed on 10/5/26 & paid a lot of money for it.
Oct 16, 2026 · 43,000 milesElectrical system The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly lost power and completely stalled. The warning message "Performance limitedâfuel system error" illuminated. Approximately one week prior, the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the same failure. The failure was diagnosed as a software glitch, and a secondary battery was installed; however, the failure recurred. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.
Oct 11, 2026Steering My car has less than 35K miles on it and I just had to spend over $2,100 dollars to repair the rack, pinion, and steering mount. They said this problem is common. For a car to be this new and need repairs this quick is ridiculous.
Jan 1, 2026Electrical system Multiple electronic/body-control systems fail intermittently, confirmed by dealer diagnostics (DTC summary report, 5+ service visits): Active Lane Management/Blind Spot system shows "blind spot alert unavailable" and lane-keep faults, mainly during turns and lane crossings (DTC U0422-00, "Implausible Data Received From Body Control Module," stored across ACC, LBSS, RBSS modules). Rear camera intermittently fails to display (DTC B217A-87 "Rear Camera-Missing Message," B217A-9A "Rear Camera-Component or System Operating Conditions"). 4WD system shows "Service 4WD System" warning during sustained highway driving over 60 mph, clearing after 1-2 minutes. USB port intermittently shows "USB…
Feb 20, 2026Steering Steering rack needs to be replaced per dealership. Reported loud clunking noise when turning. Not covered under warranty. Was told it was regular car maintenance. 49k miles with bumper to bumper expired a month before complaint. Have noted in forums multiple complaints for same issue yet jeep refuses to cover.
