When driving on highway speeds, the car sometimes has a lightning bolt displayed on the dashboard and the car slows down to under 25 mph. Car needs to be parked or turned off and on again and then it can be driven to highway speeds again. Online says Electronic Throttle Control issue. - May 6, 2026Suspension
Car was shaking violently and was steadily getting worse. Automatic light dimmer had malfunctioned resulting in several instances of being pulled over. Luckily never got a citation. Started chewing the rear tires off from the first 3k miles dealer never would address the problem. Had to voluntary surrender the vehicle cause we couldnât pay for it and not have a driving vehicle - Aug 7, 2026Power train
While driving my 2025 Jeep Compass, the vehicle displayed a âService 4x4â warning and began producing a loud engine/drivetrain noise accompanied by severe physical jerking and you could hear the car having difficulty shifting gears once the transmission got hot enough (over 130 degrees). The jerking was significant enough to affect the vehicleâs normal operation and raised concerns about maintaining control and safely driving the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a Jeep dealership for inspection. The dealership originally diagnosed the differential as the cause of the problem and replaced the differential. Approximately 15 minutes after leaving the dealership following this repair,… - May 2, 2026Forward collision avoidance › Warnings
I bought my jeep brand new in 2025. I have had multiple occasions where my breaks lock up when on the highway or main roads. The collision detection settings are all "OFF" since my first experience of this happening. I have taken my vehile in the jeep facility a couple of times now and they tell me they do not see anything coming out bad on their end when checking the system. It is still occurring. And I am taking my car back in to get it looked at again. When this happens there are no chimes, signals or anything that tells me "something is in front of me". Also when this happens there won't be a car or anything in the roadway. I could be driving a clear road at 50-60mph and it feels as if… - Sep 6, 2026Wheels
The problem is reoccurance in short periods of time. I had an alignment done at 14,000 miles, then at about 20,000 miles when the tires were replace. Now, the car has 34,000 miles and requires another alignment due to excessive tire wear on the inner portion of the tire. The car has only been driving under normal driving conditions for the area; 95% highway driving. There haven't been any impacts to anything which could cause the alignment to fail this horribly so frequently. This is the only car I have ever owned that has ever needed an alignment three times in a one year timeframe. Independent service centers reproduced the first two times. The first time the mechanic informed me that it… - Aug 29, 2026 · 2,736 miles · crashVehicle speed control
The contact rented a 2025 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while slowly pulling into a parking space, the engine revved and the vehicle unintendedly accelerated. The contact immediately depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle and shifted the transmission to reverse(R). During the failure, the vehicle crashed into a wall causing damages to the driverâs side front bumper. A Police report was filed at the scene. The failure mileage was 2,736. - Aug 10, 2026Electrical system
Several safety warning lights continue to appear while driving. Car slows down on its own at times. Media screen glitches as well. Dealer has worked on the car about 4-5 times. Currently, the car is with the dealer for a 3rd straight week and they claim to not have any loaners. Dealer has continuously stated that the sensor needs to be kept clean, but this is just a distraction. These cars are not safe on the road and should all be recalled as lemons. The manufacturer is using subpar systems and master technicians have been unable to completely fix the issue. These issues began to appear before car had 8k miles. This issue is frustrating and scary. - May 13, 2026Electrical system
Warning message in dash stating that the drive mode is unavailable. Emergency and safety features are not functioning as they should. The emergency braking and forward collision warning doesnât work. When driving, the warnings will go off independently and disengage. Byers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership in Columbus serviced the vehicle May 2026-August 2026 with support from Stellantis replaced multiple components and the harness to repair the drive system, with all failed attempts to correct the problem. On August 10, 2026 the dealership returned my car to me, citing no repair available and that a software update should correct the issue. Dealership advises the car is safe to operate.
