Electrical system
My 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has experienced recurring electrical/electronic failures since shortly after purchase on August 5, 2023. I first reported an electronic issue to Stellantis September 5, 2023. Problems began under warranty and continued despite software updates, module reprogramming, and replacement of an internally failed radio. Reported problems include: ⢠Intermittent backup-camera failures ⢠False obstacle detection and repeated/constant parking-sensor alarms ⢠Service Electronic Stability Control warnings ⢠Recurring 4WD/drivetrain warnings and problems ⢠Transfer-case shift-motor electrical connection requiring repair ⢠Quadra-Lift failing to consistently…

My 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, VIN [XXX], has had repeated electrical, battery, power-loss, recall, and passenger-seat safety concerns. The vehicle was serviced for ongoing battery/electrical issues and remained at South Hills Dodge for approximately one month. During that time, I was told no loaner vehicles were available, leaving me without transportation. When the vehicle was returned on XXX, the front passenger seat was no longer operable, although it worked properly before service. I returned the vehicle the same day and was told the part would be ordered. I asked if the vehicle was safe to drive because the passenger seat was making unusual noises and sounded like it could fail further.…

I had to call the fire department because my the auxiliary battery in my Jeep had overheated creating a sulfur-like smell in my garage and eventually into my home. The fire dept recorded the aux battery temp over 200 degrees and the main battery was almost 150 degrees after sitting idle in the garage for over 5 hours and had only drove twice that day for no more than 20 minutes each time. I purchased the vehicle in May of 2023, I believe in Oct of 2023 the dealership had to replace the aux battery, now Aug of 2026 the aux battery failed again overheating and causing the main battery to swell and fail. The dealership was horrible about diagnosing the issue with no real answer and telling me…

Sep 15, 2026Steering
While starting to turn through an intersection after a red light the vehicle stalled in the center of said intersection. After turning the vehicle fully off and restarting the dash lights for a steering malfunction illuminated. The vehicle was difficult to steer but was drivable. After several on of cycles the steering was easier. We made an appointment and took it to the dealer. The dealer found the steering rack to have an "internal" fault and was unsafe to drive. The vehicle died in the center of a busy intersection. We could have been hit because the turn lest arrow ended and oncoming cars had the green light. We got the vehicle back about 9 weeks later. The steering rack had been…

My 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has experienced repeated safety-related defects involving the body, electrical, and powertrain systems despite 6 warranty repair visits. The vehicle has been out of service 72 cumulative days, and the current repair still ongoing. Before the most serious incident, the vehicle had already been returned to authorized Jeep dealerships multiple times for liftgate malfunctions. The liftgate repeatedly failed to open, failed to close properly, and exhibited intermittent malfunctions. These defects were repeatedly reproduced and confirmed by the dealer, and Wagoneer engineering was consulted to diagnose and repair the vehicle. The defects have not been permanently…
Jun 27, 2026Structure › Interior panels › Sun visor
While driving on the interstate, attempted to move the driverâs side sun visor to block sunlight from coming in driverâs side window. The sun visor became dislodged from the ceiling and was dangling by the wires that go to the lighted mirror. Was unsuccessful at simply restoring it to its correct position. Had to hold the sun visor by hand until I could pull off the road. After searching this problem online, I found that this is a common failure because of a known, and for some reason not recalled yet, defect in the design of the sun visor pivot point. In my opinion this is a serious safety issue and should be recalled to get this problem for all of these cars resolved.

I was at a stoplight, waiting to making a U-turn. The light turned green release the brake and went to hit the gas. The entire vehicle shut off. I lost all power and had to restart the vehicle in the middle of the intersection with vehicles behind me. It took at least 30 seconds and I ended up having to wait a cycle on the light because I couldnât go at the time. Once I got the car back on, I lost power steering and my check engine light came on. I was able to make it to parking lot. Once I got there, I parked in the parking space the vehicle did the automatic shut off to conserve energy once I parked I press the button to shut that feature off when I did it the vehicle shut off again. I…
