The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started beeping with several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the steering wheel locked up. The contact stated that the windshield wipers activated, and the brakes locked up. The vehicle had experienced the failure in 2020, and the dealer replaced the alternator, which temporarily resolved the failure; however, the symptoms reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to a dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the failure was not caused by the alternator. The technician informed the contact that there were other underlying issues with the vehicle. The…

ABS module needs to be replaced and they stopped making the part. Lights are on all the time with no cruise control and the advanced brake system no longer works. Nobody has the part. They do not make it anymore.

Unknown or other
The ABS module has malfunctioned which affects the cruise control, most of the dash controls on the steering wheel and has several lights on the dash that stay lit. The Dodge dealer is aware of this and states that right now there is no fix from Dodge. I'm putting an estimate date below due to ongoing issue.

At 65 mph with the adaptive cruse on, all of a sudden, the FCW light came on and almost rear ended the car in front of me. I lost antilock, cruse, and fcw. I also have less brake pedal. Took to Dodge dealer in Emporia Ks. Said anti-lock brake hydraulic control unit was bad. Part #68236997aa. Dodge discontinued and no aftermarket replacement. I am probably not the only person with this safety problem.

Desiccated Air Bag Inflator RuptureOpen
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 2016 Blomquist Report at www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/documents/expert_report-hrblomquist.pdf.Consequently, all frontal inflators using propellant 2004 that do not contain a "desiccant" (a substance that traps and holds moisture) in US vehicles are under recall. These "non-desiccated" inflators either have been or are required to be replaced. In some cases, the remedy part for these recalled…
