Seat belt light appears on dash even when I am Buckled. I went to see what the problem was and the specialist said the belt buckle was defective. The mechanic searched the part nationwide and was informed the part is not available. Iâm currently driving with a faulty driver belt buckle which is a safety concern.

While driving, the entire digital instrument panel cluster suddenly short-circuited and went completely black, dropping all access to the speedometer and critical safety indicators. My vehicle has the 7-inch display. My independent repair shop diagnosed it as an internal short circuit and ordered a replacement Mopar factory part, which is currently on a 2-month factory backorder, leaving the car grounded.

The Hood Silencer Pad (68752887AA, 68292166AA, 68292166AC, 68292166AD) is made from insulating fibers that attract rodents. The rodents detach portions of the silencer pad which can result in loose material that could become a projectile on the highway or contacting hot engine components, potentially creating a fire hazard.

The Instrument Cluster Dash lights go on and off all by themselves. This is a common problem with many Jeep Wranglers. Upon checking recalls I found my Jeep Vin was not listed. This can turn into deadly safety issues, not only for me but other drivers in different vehicles. What if the panel lights go off at night and I reck causing injuries to people or property?

It keeps having the dashboard light up. It is ridiculous, and it is a known issue with Jeep, especially my year, but they do nothing. It is dangerous because I lose power steering, and it says many things aren't working. Jeep needs to recall their electrical system so we don't have to pay more then the vehicle is worth to fix it, just because we're out of warrenty.

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) FailureOpen
The Office of Defects Investigations (ODI) is opening a Preliminary Evaluation on 2020 Model Year Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers involving a malfunctioning Instrument Panel Clusters (IPC) resulting in the loss of important vehicle metrics and other status information. ODI has received 89 Vehicle Owner Questionnaires (VOQs) alleging a complete or partial loss of the IPC display while driving.  The subject vehicles' IPC display includes the speedometer, fuel gauge, engine temperature, turn signal indicators, warning light, and other gauges that are normally illuminated while the vehicle is in operation. Loss of the fuel gauge while driving may lead to an inability to determine the fuel level and result in a loss of motive power, and the loss of other safety-related information may impede a driverâs ability to take action to prevent a safety risk.  Furthermore, an IPC that is suddenly…

Underhood firesClosedLed to recall 26V363
On September 6, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE24024 to investigate allegations of engine compartment fires in model year 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. Most reports described fires starting on the front passenger side of the engine compartment while the vehicle was turned off, with several originating specifically at the electrohydraulic power steering pump's electrical connector. Following the opening of the investigation, ODI sent an information request letter to the vehicle manufacturer to assess the cause, scope, and frequency of the alleged defect. Additionally, ODI continued to receive reports of vehicle fires with a likely origin at or near the power steering pump. Throughout this investigation, ODI continued to discuss these new reports and the information request letter response with the manufacturer. On June 4,…
High pressure fuel pump failureOpenLed to recall 24V957
The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE21-021 on October 14, 2021, to investigate incidents alleging a stall/loss of motive power as a result of high-pressure fuel pump failures in certain model year (MY) 2019-2020 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 heavy duty trucks equipped with 6.7L Cummins turbodiesel engines. During the investigation, ODI sought to determine if the related defect allegation was limited in scope to the recalled population. After review of information request response materials from both FCA and BMW, NHTSA determined that sufficient information to identify a comprehensive recall population could not be produced by FCA and BMW.During the investigation FCA filed recalls 22V406, 22E048, 22V767, and 22E087 which include vehicles not identified in the initial subject population by ODI. ODI also received recall 21V586, involving loss of motive power due to failed…
