the vehicle's antitheft system automatically triggers. There are two different events here: 1. Anti theft system triggers when the engine is off. When I attempt to start the car, the engine will not activate. By going through a series of locking and unlocking attempts (via key fob, via door locks, via keyless entry) I can eventually get the engine started. This event happens every other day. 2. Anti theft system triggers when the engine is on, while driving on the road. This results in the engine shutting off, and both the steering wheel and brake pedal locking up. I took the vehicle to a Lincoln dealer (Dave Sinclair Lincoln St. Louis) and after running diagnostics they suspect the root…

I had a diagnostic done on my truck to troubleshoot issue and the code was P0720. Ford issued a recall on Lincoln Navigator built between April 11, 2011 through August 19, 2013. My truck was built October 2013 and Tom Wood Ford of Indianapolis Indiana states my vehicle does not qualify for the recall and they want $1400.00 to repair the same issue as the recall notice. I was under the assumption that If an affected vehicle exhibits an illuminated malfunction indicator light (MIL) and/or wrench light in the instrument cluster with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0720,…
