I own a 2019 Toyota Camry SE, 4-door automatic transmission, with approximately 59,500 miles. On October 20, 2026, while driving on a roadway with multiple traffic lights, I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, I pressed the accelerator, and the vehicle made a loud noise but would barely move and accelerated very slowly. At the same time, I noticed a strong oil smell inside the vehicle. There were no warning lights or messages displayed before the failure. Because the vehicle was unable to accelerate normally when traffic began moving, my safety and the safety of other motorists were put at risk. The driver behind me expected my vehicle to move when the light turned green…

When i purchased this vehicle during 2020 i noticed that the car runs very sluggish and the transmission would jerk a lot when slowing down and when speeding back up, ive been able to replicate this problem for the dealership and i took it to them and all they said they can do is reset the transmission and check the fluid levels. So for the past 4 years ive been driving it like that with no issues resolved. Until this year 2026, i took the car back to the dealership and i explained to them that i hear a whining sound coming from the transmission when its runs at 3k RPMS and they were able to replicate the noise and all they said is they cant do nothing since the transmission still runs even…

I am filing a safety complaint regarding a transmission failure in my 2019 Toyota Camry. I purchased this vehicle from a local Ford dealership in an as-is sale with approximately 133,000 miles. Only three months after purchase, the transmission began failing while I was driving. The vehicle stopped shifting gears properly, began slipping and jerking, and ultimately lost all ability to move forward. This occurred while driving on the street and created a potentially dangerous situation due to the sudden loss of vehicle propulsion. The vehicle currently has fewer than 140,000 miles. I have been quoted approximately $8,400 by AAMCO to replace the transmission. I was told the transmission…

The dealership wanted to charge me $300 to replace the handle for a fourth time, but they refuse to look at the internal sticking latch defect mentioned in Toyota TSB T-T2-0323-19. I could not safely drive a car with a broken door while waiting for a approval process, so I am having a local mechanic fix it. / want to submit my receipt to this case file for a corporate reimbursement check.

My granddaughter was driving on the freeway. Car just slowed down to 30 miles an hour. Secondary collision Brake system Malfunction warning came on. Also, other lights came on. Luckly no one hit her from behind. She pulled over to the shoulder. Highway patrol came by escorted her off the freeway. By the time she reached a safe place to park, car would not go into gear. Car was towed to a Toyota dealer. After having the car checked I was told it was the transmission. Quote was 9100 dollars for repair. Car had 71329 miles. I have bought 3 Camry vehicles. I was disappointed with all the phone calls I had to make for some help for repair cost from Toyota. I finally had the car repaired after…

My 2019 Toyota Camry is experiencing repeated door lock actuator failures that I believe create a serious safety hazard. The affected component is the door lock actuator, which controls the electronic locking and unlocking of the door, and the failed components are available for inspection upon request. The problem began with intermittent failures where a door would not lock or unlock from the inside, outside, or remote key fob. The most serious incident involved my driver-side door. After the vehicle went into motion, the doors automatically locked, and I was unable to unlock or open the driver-side door from inside. When I reached my destination, I still could not open the driverâs door…
