Problem: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Range Rover vehicles. The front suspension knuckles may have been replaced with incorrect parts during a prior recall remedy repair.
Risk: An incorrect suspension knuckle may not perform as expected, possibly resulting in a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will replace the front suspension knuckles, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 30, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D148.

Problem: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The driver's seat belt emergency locking retractor may not lock as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies" and 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Risk: During hard braking before a crash, the seat belt emergency locking retractor may not lock as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2022. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N678. This recall replaces NHTSA recall number 19V-350. Vehicles previously inspected under recall 19V-350 that did not receive a replacement seat belt assembly will need to have this new recall remedy performed.

Problem: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Range Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under Recall 19V-392, however the repair may not have been completed properly. Due to a problem with the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch), the doors may appear to be closed but may be unlatched.
Risk: Unlatched doors may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for any issues with the KV system, disabling the KV mechanisms if necessary, and update the KV Latch software, free of charge. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under Recall 19V-390, however the repair may not have been completed properly. A spring in the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch) may get stuck, causing the left hand door to remain unlatched when the door is closed.

The driver's seat belt Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) may not lock as designed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."
Risk: If the driver brakes prior to a crash, the ELR will not lock at the correct g-force level, increasing the risk of injury.

Problem: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Range Rover vehicles manufactured July 26, 2012, to March 9, 2015, and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured February 18, 2013, to March 5, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the doors may unlatch unexpectedly when closed.
Risk: If a vehicle door unlatches, the distraction may increase the risk of a crash and/or a vehicle occupant may fall out of the vehicle if they are not wearing a seatbelt, increasing their risk of injury.

The fuel tank cover has rusted with visible open cracks /breakage through the material. I'm unsure if the actual fuel tank has become affected yet. Safety is at risk if leakage of fuel becomes evident. I have only casually discussed recall notices with my local parts department. No warning lights at this time. Issue was found during a rear brake inspection.

The subject vehicle is a 2016 Range Rover and is my daily driver. The vehicle has a carbon steel fuel tank cradle (P/N - LR071011) that has a common failure of the steel cradle that is the only component that holds the fuel tank in place. When the fuel tank cradle corrosion is significant the fuel tank is no longer secured to the vehicle body and the fuel tank can otherwise shift or drop away from the vehicle. The fuel tank cradle on my vehicle is completely corroded through and missing most of the structure necessary to hold the fuel tank in place (see pictures attached). I can physically move the fuel tank by hand and have now used ratchet straps to temporarily hold the fuel tank in…

Component Failed & Availability: The high-pressure fuel system and the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) have failed. The vehicle is currently available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: The vehicle experiences severe heat-soak depressurization, causing unpredictable engine stalling, sudden loss of power, and violent pressure lag during hot starts and acceleration. This creates a severe crash hazard when attempting to enter or maneuver in traffic. On July 27, 2026, while driving westbound on SR-62, the vehicle unexpectedly moved laterally and collided with the left-rear area of a commercial tractor-trailer. In the days before the crash, I recall hearing a knocking noise from the front and experiencing the vehicle pulling, but I did not understand these as signs of a safety defect. After the crash, the right-front upper suspension/steering-knuckle connection was catastrophically separated and displaced, the wheel and hub were out of their normal position, and the vehicle was not drivable. Fuel/propulsion system
The fuel tank shield has rusted completely through exposing the tank to damage, puncture, etc. The reason this problem occurs is because of a process called galvanic corrosion. The fuel tank shield is bolted onto an aluminum heat shield, and the pairing of these two different metals accelerates the corrosion. Land Rover has acknowledged this problem and itâs given priority due to the fact that this is a safety issue being that these shields are also responsible for holding the tanks in place.

Desiccated Air Bag Inflator RuptureOpen
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants.
