Problem: FORD IS RECALLING 1,357 MY 2009 EXPEDITION AND NAVIGATOR VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." Risk: DELAY OR LOSS OF BRAKE STOPLAMP FUNCTION MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Fix: DEALERS WILL ADJUST THE BRAKE STOPLAMP SWITCH FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 6, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER AT 1-866-436-7332 OR WWW.OWNERCONNECTION.COM.

Mar 13, 2025Power train The drive shaft is bad. My expedition is shaking very bad at high speeds it shakes the rear view mirror. I took it back to the dealership where I got it from 3 months after I got it because they thought it was the shocks. They replaced both rear shocks. Contol arms, body mounts. Got all brand new tires which have been balanced and rotated and the vehicle is still shaking at 60 + mpr. A while back in kept hearing a bird chirping noise but later found it that's due to drive shaft. Also of clunking going on under truck.

Jun 10, 2018 · 169,000 milesSuspension LOWER RETAINING BOLT BETWEEN STRUT AND WHEEL HUB HAS FAILED CAUSING HEAD OF BOLT TO SHEAR OFF (SEE PHOTOS) ON FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY. BOLT HEAD WAS FOUND LYING IN DRIVEWAY AND SHEARED BOLT WAS FOUND ON INSPECTION OF VEHICLE. VEHICLE MAY HAVE BEEN IN MOTION AT LOW SPEED OR STATIONARY AT TIME OF FAILURE.
